Ok we may have twisted an idiom to the max there, but we are very excited to announce that our baby and Croydon’s much-loved indie and alt-rock festival, Cro Cro Land, is making a return on Saturday 5 and Sunday 6 April 2025 at the wonderful Stanley Arts. And you can get your early bird tickets now.
This year’s event really did put the festival on the map as a go-to event for fans of underground and alternative music. Known for our diverse lineup, blending the best of rising indie stars with well-established rock icons, our third instalment in 2025 promises to be another electric celebration of live music and creativity.
This year was our second venture into the world of festival creation, where we curated 40 bands over two days in the heart of South Norwood. We were completely blown away with the response to this event and the demand was clearly there as we sold out. Always nice when you’re operating self-funded. Phew!
Since its inception back in the pre-Covid days of 2019, Cro Cro Land has been honoured to host an impressive array of talent, making waves not just in Croydon, but across the global indie music scene. Past lineups have boasted names like She Drew The Gun, with a mesmerising mix of political and poetic lyricism, and alternative rock heavyweights The Subways, who brought their infectious energy to the stage.
Other standout acts from previous years include Blood Red Shoes, whose gritty garage rock has earned them a cult following, and the retro-inspired yet fresh sounds of Mattiel, whose bold performances left audiences buzzing. ARXX, the dynamic alt-rock duo, made their mark with punchy anthems, while the genre-defying Nova Twins delivered one of the most unforgettable performances, blending punk, rap, and rock in a style all their own.
Indie lovers were also treated to powerful sets from Desperate Journalist, whose post-punk vibes captivated festival-goers, and the grunge-infused sounds of Berries, who have become a staple of the indie rock scene. Locals Bugeye, with their infectious synth-laden rock, have been a consistent highlight of Cro Cro Land, showcasing our deep connection to Croydon and the festival itself.
As Cro Cro Land gears up for its 2025 edition, we are busy working on a formidable line-up to grace the stages at Stanley Arts. With a reputation for bringing together emerging talent and established indie acts, fans can expect a bill filled with thrilling live performances and new discoveries. This festival isn’t just about the music; it’s about fostering community, supporting gender equality in music, and celebrating the rich cultural tapestry that Croydon offers.
We return to the lovely Stanley Arts in 2025, Croydon’s vibrant and historic arts venue. In case you haven’t had the pleasure to visit there yet, the building is known for its stunning Edwardian architecture and strong commitment to local arts and culture, Stanley Arts is the perfect setting for the unique energy of Cro Cro Land, so get ready for a weekend of live music across 2 stages with 40 bands and DJ’s.
We currently have a limited number of early bird tickets on sale, offering music lovers the chance to secure their spot at a discounted price before the full lineup is revealed.
Whether you’re a long-time fan of the festival or a newcomer looking for an awesome musical experience, Cro Cro Land 2025 promises to deliver another epic chapter in Croydon’s live music scene.
